Why bamboo?

Bamboi® toilet paper is made from 100% FSC®-certified bamboo, helping to protect the world's remaining forests.

Bamboo is the fastest-growing plant on earth, regrows from its own roots after harvest and needs very little water. Free from added chemicals, it's hypoallergenic and biodegradable – kind to sensitive skin and the environment alike.

Is it actually soft?

Absolutely! At Bamboi® we combine comfort and quality with sustainability – without you having to pay extra for it. And yes, that natural yellow tint of 100% bamboo might take some getting used to. But why would we add chemical bleaches when there's no need to?

Frequently Asked Questions

1
Why bamboo toilet paper?

Bamboo toilet paper is popular because it feels soft while still being strong. Compared to regular toilet paper, it tears less easily, so you often need fewer sheets. Bamboo also grows quickly, which fits perfectly with Bamboi's sustainable approach.

2
Is bamboo toilet paper worth the money?

Bamboo toilet paper is often worth the money because the sheets are strong and used efficiently. Even if the price per roll is higher, the amount used per bathroom visit can be lower than with standard toilet paper. At Bamboi, it's all about a practical balance between comfort and price.

3
What is the most sustainable toilet paper?

The most sustainable toilet paper is usually made from recycled or rapidly renewable fibres with an efficient production process. Bamboo toilet paper is often mentioned because bamboo grows quickly and requires little land. That's why many people choose Bamboi bamboo toilet paper as a more sustainable option.

4
Can you flush bamboo toilet paper?

In most cases, bamboo toilet paper can be flushed, as it is designed to break apart in water. As with any toilet paper, sticking to normal amounts matters, especially with older pipes or septic tanks. Bamboo toilet paper from Bamboi is made for everyday use with a bit of common sense.

5
How can Bamboi be both sustainable and affordable?

No! Bamboi® is 5% cheaper than average toilet paper. When comparing toilet paper, it's important to look at the number of plies and sheets per roll. With a subscription and including shipping, Bamboi® costs €0.94 per roll. That's €0.022/metre compared to €0.026/metre for average toilet paper. Because a roll of Bamboi® is 2.5 times longer, you pay less per metre.

6
How does a subscription work?

A subscription works the same as a one-time purchase, but with a fixed delivery moment that you choose yourself. You can adjust, change or cancel your subscription at any time via your account on our website – simple and flexible!

7
Where is the bamboo grown?

The bamboo grows in the Sichuan region in China, where it is also produced. The bamboo is sustainably grown and comes entirely from responsibly managed forests. Read more about the production process here.

8
Why are the rolls wrapped?

The rolls are individually wrapped in bamboo paper and printed with plant-based ink. The wrappers are biodegradable and offer a sustainable alternative to plastic. This keeps the toilet paper hygienic, clean and soft during transport and storage. The boxes are made from recycled cardboard and serve as a logistical aid, making the wrappers the only packaging.
